MPUs (mid page units) are the most popular online ad format in the UK, making up 34.1% of all ad formats being traded in January according to research by Right Media on the most popular ad formats traded across its Exchange. (29 October 2008) The growth of these particular formats perhaps reflects the greater use of rich media, as the dimensions of MPUs are suited to effective video and flash advertising.
